58th Historia Medica Lecture: David Morris (University of Nevada, Las Vegas)

David J. Morris is a former Marine infantry officer and author of The Evil Hours: A Biography of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder which describes his experiences as a reporter in Iraq and his struggles with post-traumatic stress. A New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice and a Los Angeles Times Book Prize Finalist, the book also examines the historical and cultural origins of PTSD.

The annual Historia Medica Lecture is hosted by the Center for History of Medicine. This Visiting lectureship is co-sponsored by the Center for History Of Medicine; Assembly Series; Brown School; School of Law; and the Medical Staff Association of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

All events are free and open to the public.
