Where: Mallinckrodt Building, Room 302 (Danforth Campus)

Abstract: It is sometimes suggested that knowing things (like persons, places, or features of conscious experience) is a third kind of knowledge, distinct from propositional and practical knowledge. The notion of "acquaintance" has been used to further characterise this type of knowledge. In this talk, I will raise doubts about this picture.

This is a Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) Program related seminar.
