Dr. Hawkins will discuss his career and discoveries as a surgeon and a scientist, including how to maintain high level clinical skills while running a productive research program.

The Division of Physician-Scientists is pleased to announce our inaugural Community of Academic Physician-Scientists in Training seminar and workshop series (CAPSiT). CAPSiT is intended to unite physician-scientists in training across all departments and divisions at Washington University by providing career development seminars and trainings, mentorship, and networking activities. Events will be relevant to a wide range of career stages from residents to junior faculty.

All events will be held via zoom this year. Zoom links will be available through our website and will be emailed to those in our community.

We invite physician-scientists at all levels of training to join the Washington University Community of Physician-Scientists. Members will receive first notifications of Division career development programming, along with access to a diverse group of peers and mentors across all departments at Washington University School of Medicine. By joining you will also help us learn more about physician-scientists at WU so that we can enhance our programming to better support you.
