October 26, 2021
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Zoom conference (Virtual)

“Partnership and Adaptation to Implement Trauma-Focused Therapy in Low Resourced Settings in the US & Latin America”

This program is presented in partnership with the Brown School’s Center for Mental Health Services Research and CRE²: The Latinx | Latin American Race & Ethnicity Research Unit.

Clinical psychological science has developed efficacious treatments for emotional and behavioral difficulties encountered by children and adolescents, but most of the studies have been conducted by American, university-based research labs.

This presentation will describe the implementation of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in 3 separate low-resourced settings (rural South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and El Salvador) utilizing the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, and Sustainment (EPIS) framework and guided by a community-based participatory research framework for cultural and contextual adaptation.

Register online to receive Zoom information on the morning of the event. You can also join us during the live stream.
