“The Impact of COVID-19 on Long-Term Care: Part Two – Caring for Employees”

How has the COVID-19 Pandemic impacted the long-term care industry in our community?

The Impact of COVID-19 on Long-Term Care is a two-part series that will tackle this question with the help of panels of experts from Washington University School of Medicine and other knowledgeable colleagues in the field. (learn more about part 1)

Part two of this series will focus specifically on the impact of the pandemic on employees in long-term care settings. The panel will provide their experience managing and helping their employees work during and cope with the pandemic. They will give insights on what it has been like for employees working at long-term care facilities, and an employee will provide their first-hand experience of contracting the virus, recovering and returning to work.

This two-part event is offered as part of the Issues in Aging Seminar Series, which presents current research and perspectives on aging from experts in medicine, social work, public health, psychology, law and more.

This event will be offered virtually as a Zoom webinar, please register to receive your own unique link for both sessions. While this is a two-part event, each session stands on its own.
