The Danforth and School of Medicine Corporate and Foundation Relations teams will give background on the W. M. Keck Foundation, the process for applying, and tips for success. Special faculty guest speakers include Professors Gary Patti and Susan Dutcher. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The W. M. Keck Foundation awards grants of up to $1.3 million in support of high-risk, basic science projects that push the edge of the field, present unconventional approaches to intractable problems, or challenge the prevailing paradigm. These research projects should have strong evidence that they cannot be funded by federal grants due to their high-risk nature.
