Speaker bio: Dr. Kristina Visscher is an Associate Professor of Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and co-director of the Civitan International Neuroimaging Laboratory. She earned her PhD at Washington University in St. Louis working with Steve Petersen and completed postdoctoral fellowships with Robert Sekuler at Brandeis University and Randy Buckner at Harvard University. Dr. Visscher’s lab uses a host of behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to study the influences and consequences of flexible information processing in the human brain, with a particular emphasis on visual cognition.
