Chen receives early career award for research in therapeutic ultrasound

Hong Chen, assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering and of radiation oncology at the School of Medicine, has been selected to receive the 2020 Frederic Lizzi Early Career Award from the International Society of Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU). The award recognizes individuals early in their professional career who have contributed substantially to the advancement of therapeutic ultrasound.

“It’s a great honor to receive this award from the ISTU,” Chen said. “Being recognized with this award as an early-stage investigator gives me great encouragement to push the therapeutic ultrasound field forward.”
