Board grants faculty appointments, promotions

At the Washington University in St. Louis Board of Trustees meeting May 5, numerous faculty members were appointed with tenure, promoted with tenure or granted tenure. Their tenure will take effect July 1 unless otherwise indicated.

Appointment with tenure

M. Paz Galupo as professor at the Brown School; and

Elaine A. Peña as professor of performing arts and American culture studies in Arts & Sciences.

Granting of tenure

David L. Bark Jr. as associate professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Jeffrey J. Bednarski, MD, PhD, as associate professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Lisa S. Davidson, PhD as associate professor of otolaryngology at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Melanie E. Fields, MD, as associate professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Andrew C. Glatz, MD, as professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Janet S. Lee, MD, as professor of medicine at the School of Medicine (effective May 5);

Guangyong Peng, MD, PhD, as professor of otolaryngology at the School of Medicine (effective May 5); and

Liang Shan as associate professor of medicine at the School of Medicine (effective May 5).
