“The Light Fantastic: Moving innovative optical medical diagnostic technologies from concept to marketplace”

Lan Yang: “The magic of light in medical diagnosis: from ideas to technology development”
Chao Zhou: “Ultrahigh-speed Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)”

The Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) Precision Medicine team invites you to an on-going collaboration with Venture Café. These sessions are hosted on the third Thursday of every month.

Join us this month at Precision Medicine Thursdays at Venture Café to hear biomedical researchers from WashU share their journeys from research concepts to commercial products for their cutting-edge optical technologies for medical diagnosis. Lan Yang’s high-resolution, high-speed lightwave technology has resulted in an advanced diagnostic tool start-up. Chao Zhou’s imaging technology produces in a 10-fold speed-up in high-definition 3D imaging of the human retina compared to current commercial technology.
