March 14 is the Department of Psychiatry’s Research Day, a morning in which Grand Rounds is followed by research presentations by several trainees in the department.

Christina Mangurian, MD, MAS, will be presenting the Resident Invitational Lecture. She is Vice Dean of Faculty and Academic Affairs and Lynne and Marc Benioff Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The title of her talk is “Improving health care for people with serious mental illness.” This talk will be presented virtually, both in EPNEC 2nd floor Seminar Room B and over Zoom.

From 10:30-11:15 am, there will be talks by two graduating residents/fellows participating in our Psychiatry Residency Research Education Program (PRREP):

  1. Dr. Madeline Nykamp: “Safety in the STOP COVID trials: lessons for repurposing medications.”
  2. Dr. Darin Quach: “Characteristics and longitudinal outcomes of patients from a specialized treatment-resistant depression (TRD) clinic.”

These two talks will take place in-person in EPNEC 2nd floor Seminar Room B and over Zoom.

In addition, there will be an in-person poster session from 11:15 am – 2:00 pm in the EPNEC 1st floor Great Rooms.
