“The Science of Understanding Community Perspectives”
*NOTE location
Hosted by the Division of Pediatric and Developmental Neurology
Description: Caregiver and child perspectives of illness play an important role in health care. Understanding their complex and important views requires rigorous methods. In this Pediatric Neurology Research Working Group session, we will discuss the research of WashU Investigators focused on patient-centered outcomes and caregiver perspectives on illness. They will provide examples of how they use psychometrics (Dr. Chih-Hung Chang) and qualitative content analysis (Dr. Jean Hunleth) in their work – important methodologies critical for understanding community perspectives.
