Speaker bio: David Chalmers is a philosopher, University Professor of Philosophy and Neural Science at New York University, and co-director of the Center for Mind, Brain, and Consciousness. He co-founded both the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness and the PhilPapers Foundation. He is interested in a wide array of topics in both philosophy and cognitive science including consciousness, metaphysics, epistemology, AI and computation, and physics. His most recent book is Reality +: Virtual Worlds and the Problems of Philosophy.
